The first bout of offering STARVED for free has concluded.
As I look at the numbers, I see quite a healthy increase in units “sold” — and I use quotation marks because I didn’t earn any money from those units. However, close to 1,000 copies of STARVED were downloaded over the 48-hour period. That’s pretty decent exposure and I’m hoping to garner at least a few more reviews because of it.
One observation worth noting: Most of the units were moved on Sunday with a noticeable decrease for Monday. When I offer STARVED for free again, I’ll do it on a weekend when perhaps more people will notice.
So far, the Kindle Edition Normalized Page number is at 267. I’m definitely hoping to see that increase in the next few days.
All in all, I’m glad I experimented. What impact the experiment has had and what the numbers really mean remains to be seen.
